Yes — ice cream ships surprisingly well when it’s done right. We ship our A2A2 organic grass-fed ice cream from our family farm in Morrisville, New York to doorsteps across the country, and it arrives frozen solid. The secret isn’t complicated: proper insulation, plenty of dry ice, and fast transit times.
If you’ve been wondering whether mail-order ice cream actually works — or you’ve been burned by a soupy delivery before — here’s exactly how we do it.
Tap the pint to meet the flavor — or jump straight to building your box.
A sealed insulated box with your pints still frozen hard, packed alongside anything else in your order — pies, granola, cookies, and maple syrup all ship together in the same box. Open it, move everything to your freezer, and let any remaining dry ice evaporate in a ventilated spot (don’t touch it with bare hands).
We’re transparent about this: shipping frozen food costs real money, and we charge it separately rather than hiding it in inflated product prices. Your exact rate is calculated at checkout based on your box size and your distance from our farm — customers in the Northeast pay ground rates, while farther states require faster (and pricier) services to guarantee your ice cream arrives frozen.
“I bought multiple flavors and each one was delicious. Creamy and very flavorful. The A2A2 milk is gentle on your stomach — after eating I did not experience any discomfort. Highly recommend.”
— Jenny Shvartser“Hands down the best ice cream we’ve ever had. You can taste that it’s real, and it arrived perfectly frozen.”
— Jan Hurst“Shipping was fast and everything was still solid. My whole family is obsessed. So glad we found you.”

Yes. Packed in an insulated box with dry ice, ice cream stays frozen solid for the full transit time. Dry ice is −109°F — much colder than your freezer — so pints arrive frozen hard, not soft.
With enough dry ice in an insulated container, ice cream can safely travel 1–3 days. That’s why we ship early in the week and use expedited services for states farther from our New York farm — the box always arrives well within that window.
The dry ice keeps working whether or not you’re there to open the door. The box can sit on your porch for several hours and still be frozen — though we recommend bringing it inside as soon as you can.
Frozen shipping requires an insulated box, dry ice, and often expedited carrier service. We charge shipping separately and transparently instead of hiding those costs in the product price.
Orders ship on Tuesdays. Place your order by Tuesday at 9am Eastern and it ships the same day; otherwise it ships the following Tuesday. Shipping early in the week means your box never sits in a carrier warehouse over a weekend.
Yes — it’s simply frozen carbon dioxide and it evaporates on its own. Just don’t touch it with bare hands (it’s cold enough to burn skin) and let any leftover pieces evaporate in a ventilated area.
